Independent Project Management

PMX offers independent project management services.

Independent project management provides the Owner with maximum flexibility in hiring the best available team of architects, engineers, suppliers, and contractors for their project, regardless of their affiliation.

Our approach allows the Owner to retain direct control over their projects, with PMX acting as an extension of the Owner's team and managing the project on their behalf.

As independent project managers we do not offer architectural, engineering or construction services. PMX is free of any real or perceived conflict of interest and can act without reservation in the best interests of the Owner.

At PMX project management is our core business, not just another service offering.

Principals 

The four Principals of the firm have completed numerous complex and highly successful projects, and have over 80 years of combined experience in the field of Project and Construction Management.

Tom Finan, P.Eng., PMP

Tom Finan is the President and a Principal of PMX Inc.. Prior to forming PMX, Tom was a Senior Principal with a major North American design and project management firm, and was a Principal of one of Canada's leading independent project management firms.

Tom has over 26 years experience in the project management field and has successfully managed a broad range of projects in the institutional, industrial, and commercial sectors. He is well versed in all aspects of project management and his knowledge of project and construction management is recognized throughout the industry. His expertise encompasses all aspects of project management from the senior level to day-to-day project activities.

Tom's work has included an impressive array of high profile projects in the areas of educational facilities, commercial buildings, professional sports facilities, casinos, mining projects, and pulp and paper manufacturing facilities.

Tom is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and is a designated Consulting Engineer. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). ________________________________________________________________

Les Medd, P.Eng., PMP

Les Medd is a Principal with PMX Inc.. Prior to forming PMX, Les was a Principal with a major North American design and project management firm, and was a Principal of one of Canada's leading independent project management firms.

Les has over 26 years experience in the project management field, and has successfully managed the planning, design, construction and project controls for a wide variety of large and complex projects, many in excess of $100 million.

Les' overall project experience is diverse and includes senior level management assignments on a broad range of large-scale projects in the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. These projects include professional sports facilities, major casino developments, retail and commercial facilities, industrial and municipal wastewater treatment works, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

Les is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). _______________________________________________________________

Ed Bush, MBA, P.Eng., PMP

Ed Bush is a Principal of PMX Inc. and was a Senior Associate with a major North American design and project management firm prior to forming PMX.

Ed has more than 20 years experience in the fields of project management, engineering, and construction management. Ed has played a leadership role in the successful delivery of projects for public and private sector clients.

Ed's experience encompasses a diverse range of commercial, institutional and industrial projects including gaming facilities, mining, airports, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, hydroelectric infrastructure, high voltage transmission, offshore oil development,  and manufacturing facilities for paper and pharmaceutical industries.

Ed is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). In addition, Ed is a graduate of the MBA program at York University in Toronto, having specialized in the areas of financial management and strategy. ________________________________________________________________

Sevag Kupelian, CMA, PMP

Sevag Kupelian is a Principal with PMX Inc. and was an Associate with a major North American design and project management firm prior to forming PMX.

Sevag has over 15 years experience in the fields of project management, risk management, and cost control.

Sevag brings specific expertise in the areas of project governance and organizational planning, as well as strategic development and review of project management processes and procedures, procurement strategy development, and project risk identification and mitigation.

Sevag also brings expertise in project cost control, specifically: cost control system implementation and management, cost administration, cost monitoring and reporting, and project accounting. He has successfully completed cost control assignments on a broad array of projects in the gaming and health care sectors, many in excess of $100 million.
