Mission 2050
University of Guelph


The University of Guelph is in the design phase of a new sustainable, interdisciplinary animal research facility incorporating farm based renewable energy systems, post secondary education and public outreach.

Systemic Therapy Centre
University Health Network - Princess Margaret Hospital



A multi-phased project with an area of approximately 31,000 sq ft, that will support chemotherapy, transfusion and supportive care to cancer patients in a consolidated location on Level 4 of the Princess Margaret Hospital. The Centre will accommodate patient reception and triage, 82 intravenous treatment spaces arranged in clusters, a specialized chemotherapy pharmacy supporting standard treatment and clinical trials, and a monitored stretcher area for blood drawing, patient assessment and recovery. The project also includes the relocation of the Lung and Sarcoma Clinic to Level 2 and Prostate Research to Level 3

NHS Health Care Complex and Walker Family Cancer Centre
Niagara Health Services

Niagara Health Services is undertaking the development of a new state-of-the-art hospital in west St. Catharines to support inpatient and outpatient services, including a new cancer centre with capacity for three radiation machines, a cardiac catheterization lab, long-term mental health facilities, and a full range or acute inpatient and ambulatory services.

This is the first Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM) hospital project implemented under Infrastructure Ontario's Alternative Finance and Procurement (AFP) program.

PMX is providing project management support services as part of Niagara Health System's project management team, including; design and construction monitoring; cost control and reporting; project planning, review and analysis; construction risk management; and, project reporting and formal documentation. ______________________________________________________________________________________

10 Toronto Street
Morgan Meighen & Associates


Morgan Meighen & Associates Limited has undertaken the restoration and renovation of 10 Toronto Street with the intent of moving their corporate offices into the building.

10 Toronto Street was constructed between 1851 and 1853 as the 7th Post Office of Toronto and is one of the most significant historical buildings in Toronto’s downtown core.


PMX is providing project manangement services to the project.

Health Science Complex
University of Toronto


University of Toronto Mississauga Campus has started work on a New Medical Academy Building that will house the faculty of medicine including lecture rooms, classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, offices and support facilities, the facility is expected to be constructed at a capital cost of $37 Million.

PMX is providing project management services to the University for the project.

Queen's Centre
Queen's University


Queen’s University is under construction on the $230 million student and athletics centre. Phase 1 of the Queen’s Centre will more than double the capacity of Queen's current facilities and includes more than half of the facilities planned for the three-phase project. These include the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies, varsity gymnasium, two practice gymnasiums, fitness facilities, swimming pool, locker rooms, underground parking facilities, loading dock and new student space and food facilities, representing a total area of about 48,000 square meters.

PMX is providing project management services to the University as part of their integrated project team.

Georgian Downs Redevelopment
Great Canadian Gaming Corporation

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is undertaking a 5,000 m2 expansion and renovation to the Slots at Georgian Downs, located in the Town of Innisfil, Ontario. This $30 million project includes more than doubling the slot capacity of the facility to 1,000 slots, as well as added food and beverage areas and back-of-house modifications. The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2009.

PMX is the Project Manager for Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, and is responsible for managing all aspects of the project from design through to construction, commissioning, and occupancy of the facility.

Durham Consolidated Courthouse                                                              Access Justice Durham

PMX is currently providing Owner's representation services to Access Justice Durham, the consortium responsible for the development and operation of the Durham Consolidated Courthouse. The facility, located in downtown Oshawa, will be a modern, integrated facility that will consolidate Superior Court and OntarioCourt justice services currently delivered from 8 locations across Durham Region.

The building design will conform to the Canada Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) "Silver" certification standards, with an emphasis on energy management and conservation.

The project is being delivered using the Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM) delivery model under Infrastructure Ontario's Alternative Finance and Procurement (AFP) portfolio of projects. ___________________________________________________________________________________

K-Rock Centre                                                                         City of Kingston

The City of Kingston has completed construction of a new $46 million regional sports and entertainment centre in downtown Kingston, Ontario.  The new 5,000 seat facility was constructed using a design-build contracting strategy and was opened in February 2008.

PMX provided project management and project advisory services to the Owner and was responsible for management and coordination of the main design-build and facility operations contracts.

M Wing Expansion and P&G Fit-Up

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

 


Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is undertaking a $198 million expansion of the M-Wing building on their Bayview Avenue campus in Toronto. The vertical expansion project will add 4 floors to the existing M-Wing building and will house the Perinatal and Gynaecology Programme.
The project is being delivered as part of Infrastructure Ontario's Alternative Finance and Procurement (AFP) portfolio under a Build-Finance (BF) model.

PMX is currently providing overall project management services to the hospital for the project.          _________________________________________________________________________

Leslie L. Dan Pharmacy Building                                 University of Toronto

The University of Toronto recently completed the $77 million Leslie L. Dan Pharmacy Building at its St. George Campus in downtown Toronto. The award winning 167,000 square foot facility will serve as the new home of the University's Faculty of Pharmacy and house research laboratories, offices, and teaching facilities. The new facility will enable a substantial increase in research activity and accommodate a doubling of enrolment in pharmacy programs.

PMX is presently providing the University with project management support services relating to project closeout.  _________________________________________________________________________

Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular                                and Biomolecular Research (CCBR)                                         University of Toronto

The University of Toronto recently completed the $95.5 million Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research (CCBR) at its St. George Campus in downtown Toronto. The award winning 221,000 square foot facility serves the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Applied Science and Engineering, and Arts and Science, and provides an open, fluid environment that encourages new ways of approaching biological problems by stimulating unconventional interactions among disciplines. The building boasts 10 floors of open concept laboratories, offices, and meeting facilities. Other unique features include an operable double façade and a 4 storey bamboo atrium.

BMO Field at Exhibition Place                                                  Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment recently completed Canada's national soccer stadium, the BMO Field, at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario. The $62.8 million project is home to a new Toronto Major League Soccer (MLS) team, the Toronto FC. The facility has the capacity to seat 20,000 fans and was completed on-time and on-budget, ready for the start of the 2007 MLS season, and as host to the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007 Tournament.

PMX was part of a team providing senior level project management oversight to the Owner's project management team. _________________________________________________________________________

Environmental and Earth Sciences Building                   University of Toronto

The University of Toronto has commenced work on a new Environmental and Earth Sciences Building at its Scarborough Campus in Toronto, Ontario. Valued at $37 million, this 6,150 square metre state of the art facility is expected to be constructed and occupied by the end of 2008.

PMX is the Project Manager for the University and is responsible for managing all aspects of the project from design through to construction, commissioning, and occupancy of the facility. _________________________________________________________________________ 

Casino Windsor Expansion Project, Risk Management       Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation

Ontario Lottery & Gaming has embarked on a $400 million expansion of the existing Casino Windsor site located in Windsor, Ontario. The project includes construction of a new 400 room luxury hotel tower, a 5,000 seat entertainment venue, 100,000 square feet of new convention space, as well as restaurants and retail space.

PMX is part of a team providing professional risk management consulting services that includes the establishment of an overall project risk management framework, identification of project risks, development of response strategies, monitoring of their implementation, and  risk reporting to senior management. _________________________________________________________________________

Provincial Infrastructure Development, PMO       Infrastructure Ontario

Infrastructure Ontario is a crown corporation of the Ontario Government dedicated to the renewal of public infrastructure including public hospitals, transportation infrastructure, water systems, and other public buildings. It currently has a portfolio of over 40 capital projects to be managed under an Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP) model.

PMX is part of a team providing support and strategic advice to Infrastructure Ontario in the establishment of a Project Management Office (PMO) for planning and implementation of its multi-billion dollar AFP project portfolio. _________________________________________________________________________

CAMH Development Project                                               Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) has completed Phase 1A work on a $35 million development of a facility in Toronto, Ontario.  This work included construction of three ‘Alternate Milieu’ client care facilities, the creation of one four-storey out-patient and administrative building, a new public park, attractive streetscaping, and landscaping.

PMX provided cost control and reporting oversight to the CAMH project management team and senior management. _________________________________________________________________________

Geco Willroy AMD Collection & Pumping Upgrade        Xstrata

Xstrata has invested $33 million as part of a multi-year program of upgrades and improvements to the AMD collection and treatment works at the Geco Willroy mine site near Manitouwadge, Ontario. The 2006 program, valued at $8 million, involved the construction of a system of clean water collection dykes, pump stations, pipelines and upgrades to existing dams and holding ponds.

PMX was part of the 2006 project management team responsible for contract administration, site management, planning and scheduling support, and comprehensive project reporting. The project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule. _________________________________________________________________________
